The Results are in!
The New Years game was a blast! Thanks to the guys for making the journey, and a big thank you to my wife for facilitating our game. The big winner waz Daemortus rolling pGaspy for the win! The 1-1-1-1 game is quick and brutal. It was down to one last attack and my stormblade captain wiffed something fierce and was obliterated along with pNemo.

New Years Gaming!!!!!
I am pleased report the return of the New Years game. We are going to try and make this one as epic as the year before, where i lost with Seige to 'Seige' it was brutal. All the guys have rsvp'd, so it should an awesome event. I want to give the 1-1-1-1 format another try. My resolution this year is to try and make our blog more active and open our storefront on hometowngamers.com I hope that the new finds us all well, and blesses us with good fortune.

A little New Years Warmachine!
For our group's first Warmachine of the year we played at my place and busted out two very BRUTAL games. First we had Leviathan vs. Siege. In this match up we saw Karchev and Kreoss duke it out with Karchev coming out on top. In round 2 we saw my Cygnar vs. Siege and his Protectorate forces. I used "Siege" vs. his newly acquired Feora. This was a first use with both casters and even after a crucial "Critical Brutal Damage" from my gun mages Feora still crushed my new caster. This was the first time I have picked up my Cygnar since the Hordes fieldtest started and that is a crazy transition back, LOL. Gratz to both Leviathan and Siege for their wins!

Better late than never...
The core group got together a couple of weeks ago and played a couple of games of Warmachine/Hordes. I used the new MKII playtest rules for my Trollbloods and did battle against Siege's Protectorate army. At 35 pts. our armies looked like this:
Trollbloods:
eDoomshaper
-2x Dire Troll Maulers
-2x Impalers
-1x Axer
-1x Kriel Warriors unit
-1x Fell Caller
Protectorate of Menoth:
pSeverius
-1x Blessing of Vengeance
-1x Revenger
-1x Avatar
-1x Vengers Full Unit
-1x Choir of Menoth
-1x Paladin of the Wall
-1x Vassal of Menoth
We played a pretty strait forward assassination game. The terrain was setup according to the tournament scenario guidelines and had a huge impact on the deployment and movement during the game. The new frenzy rules are HARSH!! The only warbeasts that did not frenzy was an impaler that i never forced. The game turned out to be a narrow win for the Trollbloods, but if Severius hadn't gone down that turn it was all over for me the next round. Definably an example of "Playing like you have a pair" on both sides. Great game.
